i'm in good company here at the manhattan mall in new york city, exactly where the crowds are building at this hour. also all around the country. as you mentioned, 17 million people will still be shopping between now and christmas eve. that's a pretty good chunk if you think about it. on average they're expected to spend around $750. we've talked to some shoppers along the way. some of they will said that the fiscal cliff is sort of on their minds. but they're taking it in stride today. a lot of people have a very relaxed atmosphere to be in. but tomorrow could be a different story. of course that really last-minute rush and crush, mad dash to pick up those gifts on that christmas eve. many of the stores are trying to accommodate those last-minute shoppers, those procrastinators we're talking about, including, you know, just the last-minute few people like myself that's just wrapping up a few gifts or the people that are just getting started. macy's, toys 'r' us, and a couple other stores are staying open around the clock between now and christmas eve. so, alex, there's plenty of time.
